This Is Electronic Body Music (Vinyl 2)

Listening notes

Released in 2005 on Blanco Y Negro (2), *This Is Electronic Body Music (Vinyl 2)* carries catalog number MX 1495 R (N) and presents itself as a various artists collection organized around a cluster of related electronic genres: EBM, Electro, Electronic, New Beat, and Synth-pop. The pairing of those genre tags on a single release reflects how closely these styles had become associated with one another by the mid-2000s, when retrospective and compilatory interest in the late-1980s Belgian and European electronic scenes was producing a range of archival and themed collections.

The record is a single vinyl disc containing five tracks spread across two sides. Side A opens with "The Drop Deal," followed by "Lack Of Sense" and "8:15 To Nowhere." Side B carries "Eighty Eight (Extended Mix)," notable for being presented in an extended format, and closes with "Close Encounter." Track durations are not documented in the available source data.

The designation "Vinyl 2" in the title suggests this release functions as part of a larger series or multi-volume set operating under the *This Is Electronic Body Music* banner, though the scope and total number of volumes in that series are not confirmed by the available facts. Blanco Y Negro (2) is the issuing label, distinguished in catalog records by the numeral to differentiate it from other entities sharing the Blanco Y Negro name.

No artist attributions for individual tracks, songwriter credits, production personnel, or recording information are available in the source data. A fact checker should verify individual track contributors and confirm whether additional volumes in this series exist under the same label and catalog structure before this draft is considered complete.
