Vicious Vinyl Volume 3

Listening notes

Vicious Vinyl Volume 3 is a various artists compilation released in 1995 on the Vicious Vinyl label, bearing the catalog number VVLP004CD and issued in CD format. The release sits within the electronic, house, and progressive house genres, placing it among the compilation output that labels of this type used to document and distribute music from their rosters and associated acts during the mid-1990s.

The disc collects ten tracks, each presented in a specific mix version, a detail that will be relevant to collectors and researchers attempting to distinguish these recordings from other editions or pressings of the same material. The opening track is "Do What You Do Best" in a Sterling Piano 7" Mix, followed by "Thunderchild" in its Original 12" Mix. "Genocide & Joy" appears in a Tasty Raid Mix, while "Pray" is represented by a Big Blue Atlantis Mix Edit. "Tranzlusion" is included in its Original Mix, and "I Need You" appears in a Mindwarp Remix. The second half of the compilation features "Take You Higher" in a Bubbleman vs. JC Mix, "Sundancer" in a DJW Original Mix, "Disco Junkies" in an Our House Balls'N'All Mix, and the closing track "Awesome Party" in an Ivan Gough Remix.

Track durations are not currently documented in the available data, and no personnel, production, or recording information has been verified for this entry. Researchers and collectors seeking to confirm individual track credits, label ownership history, or release chronology within the Vicious Vinyl series should consult primary sources before treating this entry as complete. The catalog number designation VVLP004CD suggests this CD corresponds to the fourth entry in the label's LP catalog sequence, though the relationship between that sequence and the numbered volume titles in the series has not been independently confirmed here.
