Vintage On Vinyl Part 1

Listening notes

Vintage On Vinyl Part 1 is a various-artists vinyl release issued under catalog number SRS 001 on a not-on-label imprint, meaning it was produced outside of conventional commercial label infrastructure. No release year is documented in the available record.

The release spans eight tracks across two sides. Side A opens with "I'll Remember April," followed by "I Can See Through You," "The Bottle," and "Concrete Jungle." Side B carries "African Bird," "Love Ritual," "Wanna Do My Thing," and closes with "Yours And Yours Alone." Track durations are not documented in the available data.

The release is catalogued under the genres of Funk, Funk / Soul, Jazz, and Soul-Jazz, placing it at the intersection of several related but distinct Black American music traditions. The presence of both Jazz and Soul-Jazz alongside Funk and Funk / Soul designations suggests the compiler or compilers drew from across those adjacent fields, though the specific artists, performers, or source recordings represented on the release are not confirmed in the available information.

The title's use of the word "vintage" and the "Part 1" designation indicate this was conceived as the first installment of a series, implying at least the intention of further volumes. The not-on-label designation and self-assigned catalog number point to an independent or private production context, though the full circumstances of the release's origin are not established here.

Researchers and collectors seeking further detail on personnel, individual track origins, pressing specifications, or the existence of subsequent volumes in the series would need to consult primary sources or supplementary documentation beyond what is currently confirmed.
