Vintage On Vinyl Part 3

Listening notes

Vintage On Vinyl Part 3 is a various artists compilation released on vinyl under the catalog number SRS 003. It appears as the third entry in a series operating under the Not On Label designation, meaning it was issued without affiliation to a conventional commercial record label. No release year is documented in the available data.

The record spans eight tracks across two sides. Side A opens with "Too Soon You're Old," followed by "Inner City Blues," "Gotta Be Funky," and "I'm On My Way." Side B carries "If You Want My Love," "Think," "Give It Up Or Turnit Loose," and "Tipsy Loose." The genres associated with the release are listed as Funk, Funk / Soul, Jazz, and Soul, suggesting the compilation draws from overlapping traditions within those categories, though no performer credits or recording details are available in the verified data.

The Not On Label classification is commonly applied to releases that are self-issued or otherwise produced outside standard label infrastructure. Whether that reflects an intentional independent release strategy or simply undocumented label information is not confirmed here. The SRS prefix in the catalog number may indicate a series or imprint designation, though no further information about that identifier is available.

As the third installment in what the title implies is an ongoing series, the release suggests a curatorial intent to gather material under a consistent format, though the scope and origins of that series are not documented in the facts at hand. No track durations, personnel, or pressing details are available for this release.
