Vinyl Essentials

Listening notes

Vinyl Essentials is a four-track compilation released by Hamburg-based label Hafendisko in 2016 under catalog number HFNDISK 29. Issued on vinyl, the release brings together remixes and reworkings across genres that include deep house, house, tech house, techno, and electronic music more broadly.

The A-side opens with "Alive (Julius Steinhoff Dub)," followed by "M25 (Mihai Popoviciu Remix)." The B-side carries "Polyester Skin (Tuff City Remix)" and closes with "Dream Of Fire (Johannes Brecht Remix)." Track durations are not documented in available materials.

The release reflects a format common to Hafendisko's output: a various artists compilation structured around remixed source material, with each side of the record offering two cuts. The contributors named in the tracklist — Julius Steinhoff, Mihai Popoviciu, Tuff City, and Johannes Brecht — are credited in remix capacities, though no additional personnel information is confirmed for this release.

No chart positions, sales figures, or documented reception are available for this title. Nothing in the verified record speaks to pressing quantities, manufacturing details, or current secondary market status.

For collectors and researchers, HFNDISK 29 represents a documented 2016 Hafendisko release on vinyl. Any further claims about the label's history, the contributors' broader discographies, or this release's standing within the electronic music landscape would require independent verification before publication. This draft should be reviewed against primary sources before it is considered suitable for the reference database.
