Vinyl Loops Vol. 14

Listening notes

Released in 2005 on the Dance All Day label, Vinyl Loops Vol. 14 (catalog number DADVL014) is the fourteenth entry in the label's ongoing vinyl series. The release presents three tracks spanning the electronic and trance genres, pressed to a standard vinyl format.

The A-side is given entirely to "Sacred Cycles (Original Mix)," which runs to 11 minutes and 8 seconds, making it the longest and most prominent piece on the record. The extended runtime suggests a format suited to extended DJ play, a common consideration in trance and electronic releases of this period, though no specific information about its intended use or context is available here.

The B-side is divided between two tracks. "It's Our Future (Original Extended Mix)" occupies the B1 position with a runtime of 5 minutes and 28 seconds, followed by "Take Off (Extended Mix)" at B2, clocking in at 5 minutes and 36 seconds. The inclusion of extended mixes across both sides reflects a consistent approach to the sequencing of the release, with each track formatted for dance floor application, as is typical of the genre designation attached to the record.

No personnel information is available for this release, and no individual artist credits are documented in the available data. The compilation nature of the release, credited to Various Artists, is the extent of what can be confirmed regarding authorship.

Vinyl Loops Vol. 14 sits within a broader series context, though details about the scope of that series, the label's history, or this volume's place within it fall outside what the available facts can confirm. As a document of 2005 electronic and trance production released on vinyl, the record stands as a straightforward example of the format and genre conventions of its time.
