Vinyl Loops Vol. 17

Listening notes

Released in 2007 on the Dance All Day label, Vinyl Loops Vol. 17 (catalog number DADVL017) is the seventeenth entry in the label's ongoing compilation series. The release brings together three tracks spanning electronic, house, techno, and trance, presented on a standard vinyl format.

The A-side is given over entirely to "The Tube (Original Mix)," a single track running six minutes and forty seconds. The B-side carries two selections: "Workstation," presented here in M.I.K.E.'s Energized Mix at eight minutes and thirty-one seconds, and "The House Of House (Original Mix)," which closes the record at seven minutes and thirty-eight seconds. The B-side's combined runtime reflects the DJ-friendly, extended-play approach typical of twelve-inch dance releases of this period.

The Vinyl Loops series title suggests a format oriented toward practical use in DJ contexts, and the track durations are consistent with that function. The presence of a named remix — M.I.K.E.'s Energized Mix of "Workstation" — indicates that at least one of the tracks exists in multiple versions, though no further detail about the original or alternative mixes is available from the confirmed release data.

Dance All Day operated as a label within the broader European electronic dance music market during this era, and Vol. 17 reflects the series' multiformat genre range, touching on house and trance alongside the broader electronic category.

As with any entry in a numbered compilation series, this volume represents one installment among several, and collectors or researchers interested in the full scope of the Vinyl Loops catalog would need to consult additional volumes for context. The verified facts on hand describe the release in its basic outlines; further claims about personnel, pressing details, or reception would require independent verification.
