Vinyl Loops Vol. 6

Listening notes

Vinyl Loops Vol. 6 is a various artists release issued by Dance All Day in 2001 under catalog number DADVL006. The record is a vinyl release spanning genres that include Acid House, Electronic, Progressive House, and Synth-pop, placing it within the broader landscape of club-oriented and electronic music that remained active in the early 2000s.

The release contains three tracks across two sides. The A-side presents "9 Pm (Extended Version)" at six minutes and seven seconds, offering the extended format commonly associated with DJ-friendly pressings of the era. The B-side carries two tracks: "Pump Up The Volume (Extended)" at five minutes and eight seconds, followed by "Living On Video (Extended)" at five minutes and forty-nine seconds. Both B-side entries similarly adopt the extended format, consistent with the record's apparent orientation toward dance floor use.

The titles "Pump Up The Volume" and "Living On Video" share names with well-known recordings from earlier decades — the former associated with M|A|R|R|S and the latter with Trans-X — though this release provides no personnel or production credits in the available documentation, and no claim can be made here about the relationship between these tracks and those earlier works without further verified information.

As the sixth entry in the Vinyl Loops series on Dance All Day, the release suggests the label maintained an ongoing catalog of dance-oriented compilations at the time, though the full scope of that series is beyond what the available facts confirm.
