Various
Vinyl Loops Vol. 7

Listening notes

Vinyl Loops Vol. 7 is a various artists release issued by Dance All Day in 2002 under catalog number DADVL007. The record spans three tracks across two sides, with a total runtime that positions it firmly in the extended play tradition common to dance-oriented vinyl releases of the period.

The A-side is occupied entirely by "Keep On Jumping (Original Tee's Freeze Mix)," which runs for nine minutes. The length and the mix designation suggest the track is designed for floor use, though the specific context of the mix and its origins are not documented here. The B-side holds two tracks: "I Feel Love (Extended Version)" at eight minutes and fourteen seconds, followed by "The Final (Original Extended)" at seven minutes and forty seconds. The parenthetical version names on all three tracks indicate that alternate versions exist or existed, and that the selections here are presented in extended form, a format consistent with the release's disco, electronic, house, and progressive house genre classifications.

Dance All Day is the issuing label, and the catalog number DADVL007 places this as the seventh entry in what the title itself confirms is a named series, Vinyl Loops. What the earlier volumes in the series contained, or how the series was received, falls outside what the available facts can address.

The genre range listed — disco, electronic, house, and progressive house — reflects a broad but coherent set of influences that characterized a segment of European and international dance music production around the turn of the century. Whether the tracks here reflect those influences individually or collectively is a question for a reviewer with direct listening access.
