Vinyl Moon Volume 013: Meanwhile...

Listening notes

Vinyl Moon Volume 013, subtitled "Meanwhile...," is a 2016 various-artists compilation released on the Vinyl Moon label. It was issued on vinyl and draws from a range of genres including electronic, indie pop, indie rock, pop, and rock.

The record is organized across two sides, each containing five tracks. Side A opens with "Elodie" at five minutes and five seconds, the longest selection on the record, followed by "Come Home," "Twentythousand," "Bought and Sold," and "Drugs." Side B begins with "Tell Me It's Over" and continues through "Small Voices," "Hollow Life," "Over U," and closes with "Sensitivity." Several tracks share a similar runtime in the three-to-four minute range, with "Bought and Sold" at two minutes and forty-five seconds standing as the shortest entry.

Vinyl Moon operated as a subscription-based service, releasing curated compilations on vinyl under a consistent volume-numbering system, of which this is the thirteenth installment. The subtitle "Meanwhile..." is specific to this volume.

The genre spread across the ten tracks suggests a curatorial approach that did not restrict the compilation to a single style, accommodating both electronic-leaning and guitar-oriented material within the same program. Total running time across both sides, based on the individual track durations listed, amounts to approximately thirty-eight minutes and forty-three seconds.

As with other entries in the Vinyl Moon series, Volume 013 was cataloged under the label's own numbering convention rather than a traditional catalog number format. Personnel, pressing details, and individual track credits are not confirmed in the available data and are omitted here pending verification.
