Vinyl Moon Volume 065: Earthly Royale

Listening notes

Vinyl Moon Volume 065, subtitled Earthly Royale, is a 2021 various artists compilation released on the Vinyl Moon label. It carries the catalog designation Volume 065 and is issued in the vinyl format. The release falls across the genres of dance-pop, electronic, indie pop, and pop.

The tracklist spans two sides, each containing five selections. Side A opens with "Part-II" and continues through "Here," "True Mental," "Cubanos," and "Cafe Tokyo." Side B begins with "New World" and moves through "Memoir," "Quarantine Beat 8," "Blend," and closes with "Green Into Blue (Radio Edit)." Duration information for individual tracks is not available in the verified record.

Vinyl Moon operates as a subscription-oriented label, releasing curated vinyl compilations on a recurring volume basis, with Volume 065 representing one entry in that ongoing series. The subtitle Earthly Royale is specific to this volume. The track title "Quarantine Beat 8" is notable in that its name carries an explicit reference to the period of pandemic-era restrictions, suggesting at minimum that the track was conceived or titled in relation to that time. Whether that context extends meaningfully to other material on the compilation is not something the available facts can confirm.

The genre spread across dance-pop, electronic, indie pop, and pop points to a compilation that draws from adjacent but distinct corners of contemporary popular music, which is consistent with the curatorial approach Vinyl Moon volumes typically take. Beyond what the tracklist and cataloging information make plain, further claims about personnel, pressing details, or the artistic character of individual tracks would require verification this draft cannot supply.
