Vinyl Moon Volume 068: Our Glassy Eyes

Listening notes

Vinyl Moon Volume 068: Our Glassy Eyes is a 2021 compilation release issued on the Vinyl Moon label under catalog designation Volume 068. The record is formatted as a standard vinyl LP and draws from the electronic, indie pop, and pop genres.

The compilation presents ten tracks spread across two sides. Side A opens with "Blossoms" and continues through "Off-Peak," "Velvia," "Wide Awake," and "Guitar + Peaches (Demo)," the latter indicating that at least one track on the record is presented in demo form rather than as a finished commercial release. Side B carries "Journey (Edited Version)," "Hourglass," "Violet," "Tru," and "Ferrovia," with the edited designation on the opening B-side track similarly suggesting that the version appearing here differs from another known version of that recording.

Vinyl Moon operates as a subscription-based service built around curated vinyl compilations, and Volume 068 falls within that ongoing numbered series. The title Our Glassy Eyes functions as the thematic designation Vinyl Moon assigned to this particular volume, consistent with the label's practice of giving individual volumes distinct names alongside their numeric identifiers.

The tracklist reflects a range of material within its stated genre boundaries, and the inclusion of both a demo and an edited version among the ten selections is a factual point of note for collectors and cataloguers. Track durations are not available in the verified data for this release.
