Vinyl Moon Volume 114: Study Of A World In Song

Listening notes

Vinyl Moon Volume 114, subtitled Study Of A World In Song, is a 2025 various artists compilation issued by the subscription-based vinyl curation label Vinyl Moon. It carries the catalog designation Volume 114, continuing the label's ongoing numbered series.

The record is pressed on vinyl and collects eleven tracks spread across two sides. Side A opens with "Allt Är Fångat" and continues through "Papa," "The Pink And Blue," "Magnolia," and "Slow Step On Quality Wood." Side B runs six tracks: "I Won't Go," "Lost Your Home," "Scraps," "The End," "Select Character," and "One Of Us, Again - Piano Version," the final entry distinguished by its piano arrangement designation.

The genres associated with this volume are notably wide-ranging. Vinyl Moon has cataloged it across electro, electronic, funk and soul, indie pop, indie rock, pop, pop rock, and rock — a breadth that suggests the label is drawing from a deliberately varied pool of artists and sounds for this installment. Track durations are not listed in available documentation.

As with the broader Vinyl Moon model, Volume 114 arrives as part of a subscription series in which the label selects and packages music for subscribers, making discovery a central part of the format's identity. The subtitle Study Of A World In Song, paired with the genre spread on record, at minimum signals an intent toward range and variety within this particular volume.

No additional personnel, recording details, or pressing information are confirmed in available documentation at this time. Fact checker should verify artist attributions for individual tracks, any sleeve or insert content, and whether track durations are available through other sources.
