Vinyl Only 001

Listening notes

Released in 2017 on CellaaMusic, Vinyl Only 001 (catalog number VO001) is a four-track electronic and techno compilation issued exclusively on vinyl. The release carries the catalog designation that positions it as the opening entry in what the label framed as a vinyl-specific series, with the title and numbering making that format commitment explicit from the outset.

The record presents four tracks across two sides. The A side opens with "Place Is Hot" followed by "Nectar," while the AA side carries "Floor Vibration" and closes with "Tail." Track positions follow a standard two-per-side arrangement, with the AA designation used in place of the more conventional B-side label. No individual artist credits, track durations, or additional personnel information are available from the verified release data.

CellaaMusic issued the record under a Various Artists credit, a common approach for label compilations that draws from more than one contributor without foregrounding individual names. The genres listed for the release are Electronic and Techno, placing it within a broad but well-established corner of dance music that has maintained a particular affinity for the vinyl format across decades.

The choice to anchor the series title in the format itself — Vinyl Only — reflects a straightforward declaration about how CellaaMusic intended the music to be distributed and heard. Whether the series continued beyond this inaugural release is not confirmed by the available data.
