Vinyl Only Edits 2

Listening notes

Vinyl Only Edits 2 is a four-track EP released by BPitch Control in 2013 under catalog number BPC 279EP. As a various artists release, it brings together four pieces across two sides of vinyl, with the label situating the record within the electronic and tech house genres.

The A-side opens with "Sinister 3" before moving into "The Alphabet (Raw Acid Edit)," a title that signals an edit-based approach to the material. The B-side carries "Bitchin Not Snitchin" and closes with "Romantique (Rave Rework)," again suggesting reworked or adapted source material rather than wholly original compositions. The naming conventions across the tracklist — raw edits, rave reworks — point to a release oriented around recontextualized club tools.

BPitch Control, the Berlin-based label, issued this as a vinyl-only release, a choice reflected directly in the title itself. The format decision places the record squarely in a tradition of dance music distributed exclusively on wax, intended for DJ use rather than wider consumer formats.

The EP carries no listed track durations in the available documentation, which is not uncommon for records of this type, where running times are frequently secondary to function on the dancefloor.

BPC 279EP represents a modest but specific entry in BPitch Control's catalog — a label with a long association with electronic music coming out of Berlin. The vinyl-only designation and edit-centric tracklist suggest a release aimed at working DJs rather than the broader collector market, though the record now exists as a documented artifact of the label's 2013 output.
