Vinyl Sampler "Excess Music"

Listening notes

Released in 2005 on the Excess Music label, the Vinyl Sampler "Excess Music" (catalog number VSE003) is a four-track 12-inch pressing spanning the electro, electronic, and house genres.

The A-side opens with a Sebastian Ingrosso remix of "Peace," running eight minutes and thirty seconds, followed by a track listed simply as "Instrumental" at seven minutes and three seconds. The B-side pairs a Mode Hookers remix of "Call On Me," clocking in at six minutes and forty-nine seconds, with the closing track "Stockholm 2 Paris" at eight minutes and thirty-two seconds. The total runtime across both sides exceeds thirty minutes.

The presence of Sebastian Ingrosso in the remix credits connects the release to a name that would become more widely recognized in electronic music circles, though the nature or extent of that recognition falls outside what can be confirmed from the available information here. The Mode Hookers credit on the B-side similarly appears without additional context verifiable from the provided facts.

The catalog number VSE003 positions this sampler as the third release under that numbering scheme on the Excess Music label, suggesting the imprint had issued at least two prior releases before this one, though no further information about those releases or the label itself can be confirmed here.

Track titles such as "Stockholm 2 Paris" may suggest a geographic or cultural orientation within the release, but any conclusions drawn from that observation would move beyond what the available facts support.
