Vinyl Trip 10

Listening notes

Vinyl Trip 10 is a various artists release issued by Dance Opera in 1998 under catalog number DO 527. The record sits within the electronic and trance genres, placing it among the substantial volume of dance-oriented vinyl that European labels were producing during the late 1990s as the format remained a practical medium for DJ culture alongside the rise of digital formats.

The release is structured across two sides. The A side, labeled "Other Side," opens with "Bang The Drums" at 8:10, followed by "The 303 Metronome" at 5:56. The B side, labeled "This Side," carries "Silent Wishes (Egoist Mix)" at 7:19 and closes with "Ayla Part II (Extended Mix)" at 6:20. The side labels themselves — Other Side and This Side — are a minor curiosity worth noting for anyone cataloging the release, as they invert the conventional A/B or Side 1/Side 2 labeling that collectors typically encounter. The reference to a 303 in one track title gestures toward the Roland TB-303 bass synthesizer, an instrument closely associated with the acid and trance sounds of this period, though no further production or personnel details are available from verified sources. "Ayla Part II" suggests a continuation of an existing work, and the designation "Extended Mix" indicates an edited version prepared for this format, though the originating release has not been confirmed here.

The record represents a snapshot of the Dance Opera label's output at a particular moment in late-1990s trance and electronic music, and collectors researching this imprint or this catalog period may find it a useful reference point. Personnel, pressing details, and further session information remain unverified and should be confirmed through supplementary sources before publication.
