Vinylized Vol.7

Listening notes

Vinylized Vol. 7 is a various artists compilation released in 2018 on 4mg Records, carrying the catalog number 4MGLP13. It is the seventh installment in the label's Vinylized series and appears on vinyl format.

The record spans eleven tracks across two sides. The A-side opens with "A Glimpse Of Joy" at three minutes and three seconds, followed by "Indigo," "Basic," "Self," "Girl," and "Night Song," with individual track lengths ranging from three minutes and eighteen seconds to three minutes and forty-four seconds. The B-side runs across five tracks: "Cardo," "Epi Fit," "Full Moon," "Klaus S Ms2005," and "Pod Čiarou (Maraki's Za Čiarou Mix)," the last of which is identified as a remix. B-side tracks range in duration from three minutes and forty-seven seconds to four minutes and two seconds, making the second side marginally longer on a per-track basis than the first.

The compilation is catalogued under a notably broad range of genres, including downtempo, electronic, experimental, house, jungle, and techno. The breadth of those genre tags suggests the compilation draws from multiple stylistic territories rather than adhering to a single sound, though the degree to which individual tracks represent each of those categories is not specified in the available documentation.

As the seventh volume in the Vinylized series, the release indicates an ongoing curatorial project at 4mg Records, with the numbered format implying prior volumes preceded it. No individual contributor credits are available within the verified facts for this entry.
