WHT-LBL/SRS 2026 Vinyl 2

Listening notes

Bedrock Records returns in 2026 with the second installment of its WHT-LBL/SRS series, catalogued as BEDVIN2602. The release arrives as a standard vinyl format and spans four tracks across two sides, each running between seven and eight minutes — a duration consistent with the extended, floor-oriented structures typical of the electronic and progressive house genres the label has long operated within.

Side A opens with "Past & Present," a seven-minute-ten-second collaboration featuring vocalist Shereen, before moving into "Unrestrained" at seven minutes and two seconds. Side B carries "Keep On Runnin'" at seven minutes ten seconds and closes with "Archive," the longest cut on the record at seven minutes and twenty-one seconds. The tracklist's overall symmetry — two cuts per side, each of comparable length — suggests a considered sequencing approach, though the specific intentions behind that structure are not documented here.

The WHT-LBL/SRS designation, with its deliberate compression and abbreviation, points toward the white label tradition in electronic music, where releases are sometimes issued with minimal identifying information. Whether that framing carries aesthetic or commercial significance for this particular series is not something the available facts can confirm.

Bedrock Records, operating within the progressive house space, has maintained a consistent vinyl output, and BEDVIN2602 represents a continuation of that catalogue. Beyond the personnel credit for Shereen on the opening track, no additional artist or producer attributions are confirmed for this release at this stage.
