ZYX Italo Disco New Generation Vinyl Edition Vol.6

Listening notes

ZYX Music released ZYX Italo Disco New Generation Vinyl Edition Vol. 6 in 2023 under catalog number ZYX 55966-1. The compilation sits within the electronic, Euro-disco, and Italo-disco genres and continues a numbered series from the label dedicated to this corner of dance music.

The record spreads eight tracks across two sides, with running times that lean toward the extended end of the format. Side A opens with "Twist (La Ville Extended Italo Remix)" at five minutes and twenty-six seconds, followed by "Do You Want Me (Also Playable Mono Zyx Edit)" at five minutes and thirty seconds. The parenthetical note on that second track is worth flagging for the fact checker, as the phrase "Also Playable Mono" is an unusual designation that may warrant verification of its precise meaning in context. Side A continues with "Walk In The Night (Flemming Dalum Remix)" at seven minutes and thirty-six seconds, the longest cut on the record, and closes with "Touch Me (Special Remix)" at six minutes and twelve seconds.

Side B opens with "Back Together Again (Cliff Wedge Extended)" at seven minutes and twenty-four seconds, the second-longest track listed. "The Day You'll Get Somebody (Extended Mix)" follows at five minutes and ten seconds, then "What You Want (Anton Orlov Remix)" at five minutes and fifty-four seconds. The side closes with "Get Closer (Luca Debonaire Extended Mix)" at five minutes and forty seconds.

Several named remixers appear across the tracklist, among them Flemming Dalum, Cliff Wedge, Anton Orlov, and Luca Debonaire, as well as La Ville on Side A. The compilation is a various artists release, meaning the original performing artists are not identified within the verified data provided here and should be confirmed before publication.
