Vinyl Junkie
Escape From Babylon / Re - Energize

Listening notes

Vinyl Junkie's two-track release on Hardcore Projektz Remixes arrived in 2008 as the label's second catalog entry, bearing the identifier HPZR 02. The record is a standard single format pressing, presenting one track on each side.

The A-side carries "Escape From Babylon," while the flip delivers "Re - Energize." No durations are documented for either track. The release sits across the genres of Breaks, Electronic, and Hardcore, a combination that places it within the intersection of rhythm-driven and harder-edged electronic music that found an audience in specialist club and DJ culture during that period.

Hardcore Projektz Remixes, as suggested by its name and catalog sequence, appears to have operated as a dedicated remixes imprint. HPZR 02 being only the second release on the label indicates this was still an early point in the imprint's output. Beyond that, the documented facts do not extend to the label's broader history or longevity.

The artist name Vinyl Junkie is the sole credited party on this release. No additional personnel, production credits, or remix attributions are listed in the available documentation, which is worth flagging for the fact-checking stage, particularly given that the label name implies a remixes context.

This draft is based entirely on the verified catalog data provided. Claims regarding sound, pressing quality, collector interest, rarity, or the release's standing within the wider Breaks and Hardcore scenes have been deliberately withheld, as no verified information on those points was available. A reviewer or editor with access to the original release, label communications, or period documentation would be better positioned to expand on any of those areas responsibly.
