Vinyl Snatchers
Dance Floor Favours

Listening notes

"Dance Floor Favours" by Vinyl Snatchers is a four-track vinyl release issued under the catalog number FJ-4 on a not-on-label basis, meaning it was self-released or distributed outside of a conventional record label arrangement. No release year is documented for this record.

The release spans two sides. The A-side opens with "Untitled vs. Free Love," followed by "Jungle Brothers vs. Genie In A Bottle." The B-side carries "Der Schieber vs. Untitled" and closes with "Untitled vs. Papa Don't Preach." The track titles follow a versus format throughout, suggesting a blending or juxtaposition of source material, though no further production details are available to confirm how this is executed.

The release is catalogued across four genres: Drum n Bass, Electronic, House, and Techno. The breadth of these genre tags points to a record sitting across multiple club-oriented styles rather than a single defined sound, which is consistent with the versus structure implied by the track titles. Whether the record is a bootleg, a DJ tool, or some other form of unofficial release is not confirmed by available documentation, though self-released records operating across these genres and employing recognizable reference points in their track titles have historically occupied an informal space in dance music culture.

No durations are listed for any of the four tracks, and personnel, pressing details, and recording information are not documented in the available record. Collectors and researchers seeking additional context for this release should treat undated and not-on-label pressings with appropriate caution, as corroborating information may be difficult to establish.
