Vinyl Speed Adjust
Gifem EP

Listening notes

Vinyl Speed Adjust released the Gifem EP in 2013 on BodyParts Vinyl, carrying the catalog number BPV005. The release is a four-track vinyl EP operating across electronic, minimal, tech house, and techno territory.

The A-side opens with "Indistinct" and follows with "Subgraves," while the B-side is given over to "Gifem" and a companion piece titled "Gifem Tool." The pairing of a titled track with a tool version on the B-side is a familiar structural choice in club-oriented electronic releases, where stripped-down or functionally adapted versions of a track serve practical needs on a dancefloor without necessarily being intended as standalone listening experiences.

BodyParts Vinyl assigned this release the fifth entry in its catalog, placing it in the earlier phase of the label's output. The genres listed — minimal, tech house, and techno alongside the broader electronic classification — position the EP within a strand of European club music that was well established by 2013, drawing on reduced arrangements and rhythmic precision as defining characteristics.

Track durations are not available for this release, which is not unusual for shorter-format club vinyl where timing information is sometimes omitted from official documentation.

As with many releases of this format and genre, the EP appears designed with DJ use in mind, a practical orientation reflected both in the track-and-tool pairing on the B-side and in the choice of vinyl as the delivery format for material in the minimal and tech house idiom.
