The World Of Vinylgroover Part One

Listening notes

Released in 1997 on Alpha Projects, The World Of Vinylgroover Part One is a double vinyl compilation catalogued as ALPHALP3. Spanning four sides, it collects eight tracks operating within the electronic and happy hardcore genres, presenting a cross-section of material associated with the Vinylgroover name during that period.

The tracklist is arranged across sides A through D, with two tracks per side. Side A opens with a Vinylgroover Remix of "Time" before moving into "Children Of The Night." Side B carries a remix of "Tonight's The Night" credited to Brisk, followed by "Rave Party." The third side introduces an JHAL Remix of "Always And Forever" alongside "Well Wicked," while the final side closes the record with a Vinylgroover Remix of "Can't Stop" and "Got To Have It."

Several of the tracks are presented in remixed form, with remix credits attributed to Vinylgroover and Brisk on sides A and B respectively, and JHAL on side C. The presence of multiple remixers across the record suggests the compilation draws on work from more than one contributor, though the precise personnel involved beyond those remix credits is not documented in the available information.

The title's designation as Part One implies the existence of at least one subsequent volume, though no further details about the series are available here.

As a double vinyl release on Alpha Projects, the record sits within the mid-nineties happy hardcore catalogue, a genre that maintained a dedicated following in the UK during that era. Collectors and researchers with an interest in that scene will find this release a documented entry point, with the label and catalog number ALPHALP3 serving as reliable identifiers for further verification.
