Vulfpeck
Vinyl Discography (2011-2014)

Listening notes

Released in 2015 on Vulf Records, Vulfpeck's Vinyl Discography (2011–2014) carries the catalog number VULF1201 and collects material the band produced during that three-year span. Catalogued under the funk and funk/soul genres, the release is a double LP spread across four sides, with Side A and Side B each carrying six tracks and Side C following suit with six of its own, while Side D extends to seven tracks for a total of twenty-five selections.

The tracklist offers a cross-section of titles that became familiar to followers of the band's early output. Side A opens with "Beastly" and includes "It Gets Funkier," the first entry in what becomes a recurring thread across the compilation. That thread continues with "It Gets Funkier II" on Side B and "It Gets Funkier III" on Side C, giving the sequence a loose structural throughline. Side B also features "Adrienne & Adrianne" and closes with "Mean Girls." Side C moves through "Wait For The Moment," "The Birdwatcher," "The Speedwalker," and "Kuhlmilch 74 BPM" before arriving at the third installment of the "It Gets Funkier" series.

Side D rounds out the set with seven tracks, among them "Fugue State," "Sky Mall," and two versions of "Christmas In L.A." — an instrumental rendering labeled as such at position D5, followed by the full version at D7. The presence of both versions on the same side is a straightforward structural note worth flagging for collectors cross-referencing the tracklist.

The release was issued through Vulf Records, the band's own imprint, with no additional label affiliations indicated in the available documentation. Track durations are not listed in the source data.
