WB Loops
Vinyl Wunderwaffe Volume III House Party 86

Listening notes

Released in 2009 on Bass Planet (catalog number BP 009), "Vinyl Wunderwaffe Volume III House Party 86" is the third entry in WB Loops' Vinyl Wunderwaffe series. The record sits at the intersection of several genres — breaks, electro, house, techno, and electronic more broadly — and is catalogued specifically as a DJ battle tool release, a designation that points to its intended function in a performance or competition context rather than conventional home listening.

The release is notable for the sheer density of its content. The record contains 98 tracks in total, spread across two sides: 49 untitled tracks on the A side and 49 untitled tracks on the B side. No track durations are documented. The decision to leave all tracks untitled is consistent with the battle tool format, where discrete, unlabeled segments are standard practice, giving DJs flexibility without the framing that individual titles would impose.

The subtitle "House Party 86" appears to reference 1986 as a touchstone, though the nature of that reference — whether it concerns source material, stylistic period, or something else entirely — is not established by the available documentation and should be confirmed before publication.

As the ninth release on Bass Planet (BP 009), the record fits within what appears to be a purposefully functional catalog. The combination of a high track count, untitled cuts, and a multi-genre classification covering everything from breaks to techno reflects the practical demands of the DJ tool format, where versatility and volume of usable segments carry more weight than conventional album structure.
