Listening notes

Released in 2016 on Universal Music Publishing (catalog number 8400541), The Best Of The Wiggles On Vinyl brings together twenty-four tracks from the Australian children's entertainment group across two sides of a standard vinyl LP. The release is catalogued under the genres of Children's, Educational, and Stage & Screen.

Side A opens with "Rock-A-Bye Your Bear" and runs through thirteen tracks, including some of the group's most recognizable titles: "Hot Potato," "Fruit Salad," "Dorothy The Dinosaur," "Wake Up Jeff," and "Toot, Toot, Chugga, Chugga, Big Red Car." The side also includes "Wags The Dog," the longest track at 2:40, alongside shorter entries such as "Joannie Works With One Hammer" at 0:45. Total running time for Side A is approximately 23 minutes.

Side B carries eleven tracks beginning with "In The Wiggles World" and closing with "Wigglemix," the collection's longest track at 3:32. Other titles on the B side include "Head, Shoulders, Knees And Toes," "Play Your Guitar With Murray," "D.O.R.O.T.H.Y (My Favourite Dinosaur)," "Go Santa Go!," and "Wiggly Party," among others. Side B runs approximately 22 minutes.

Across both sides, individual track durations are notably brief by adult music standards, with several falling under two minutes, a characteristic consistent with material aimed at young audiences. The compilation format and vinyl medium together position this release as a physical artifact within the Children's and Educational categories at a time when streaming had become the dominant mode of music consumption for most demographics.
