Body Census Vinyl

Listening notes

Released in 2007 on Beton Kopf Media, the vinyl edition of Body Census by :wumpscut: carries the catalog number bkm etah 65 and presents eleven tracks spread across two sides. The release falls under the genres of EBM, Electro, Electronic, and Industrial, situating it within the broader landscape of electronic music that those categories collectively represent.

Side A opens with "The Beast Sleeps Within You" at 4:16 and moves through five additional tracks: "Remember One Thing" (3:40), "We Believe, We Believe" (3:38), "Ain't That Hungry" (3:37), "You Are A Goth (ElCom2)" (4:37), and "My Dear Ghoul" (3:24). The parenthetical designation on "You Are A Goth" suggests a versioning distinction, though no further detail is available here to clarify its meaning.

Side B opens with "Hide And Seek" at 4:53, followed by "Homo Gotikus Industrialis" (3:56), the title track "Body Census" (5:32), "Adonai, My Lord" (3:42), and closing track "The Fall" at 6:06. The title track occupies a central position on the second side and carries one of the longer runtimes on the record. "The Fall," at just over six minutes, is the longest track on the release.

Across both sides, the eleven tracks total approximately 47 minutes of running time. The sequencing places the two longest individual tracks — "You Are A Goth (ElCom2)" and "The Fall" — as the penultimate cut on each side respectively, with "The Fall" serving as the record's conclusion.
