X Nation (2)
Infinite Waters

Listening notes

X Nation (2)'s *Infinite Waters* was released in 2018 on Foundation X Black, carrying the catalog number FDXBLKSR006. The release is a vinyl format single or EP spanning three tracks across two sides, situating itself within the genres of Drum n Bass, Electronic, and Jungle.

The A-side presents the title track, "Infinite Waters," running five minutes and forty-three seconds. The AA-side carries two tracks: "9 Digit Roots" at five minutes and twenty-one seconds, and "Kiss Me Neck" at five minutes and eighteen seconds. The total runtime across the three tracks comes to just over sixteen minutes, a substantial offering consistent with the extended formats common to dance-oriented vinyl releases. The use of an AA designation rather than a standard B-side label is a familiar convention in UK dance music releases, reflecting the label's presentation of the flip side as carrying equal weight to the A-side rather than functioning as filler.

Foundation X Black serves as the releasing imprint, with the catalog sequence suggesting FDXBLKSR006 represents the sixth entry in a particular series within the label's output. Beyond that structural detail, the catalog number provides a modest point of reference for collectors tracking the label's releases chronologically.

Drum n Bass, Electronic, and Jungle represent the genre classifications attached to this release. These three categories share overlapping histories and sonic territory, and their joint application here places *Infinite Waters* within a tradition of UK-rooted electronic music that draws on the breakbeat-driven lineage running through the 1990s and into subsequent decades.
