Jack Stauber
Pop Food (Vinyl Download)

Listening notes

Jack Stauber's Pop Food occupies an unusual position in this database. Listed under the format designation "File" and catalogued as a 2018 self-release on what Discogs identifies as "Not On Label," this entry represents a digital download rather than a physical pressing. There is no catalog number assigned, and no vinyl artifact exists to evaluate in the conventional sense that this site typically addresses. Researchers and collectors consulting this entry should note that distinction from the outset.

The release spans twelve tracks with a total runtime that can be calculated from the listed durations. Stauber sequenced the album to move between shorter pieces — "Lynn" runs just one minute and thirty-nine seconds — and more extended ones, with the closing bonus track "Look On" reaching four minutes and forty-five seconds and "I Understand" running five minutes and twenty seconds, making it the longest non-bonus entry on the tracklist. "Buttercup" opens the album at three minutes and twenty-eight seconds. The genres attributed to the release in the database are Indie Pop, Pop, and Synth-pop.

The self-released nature of the project means there is no label infrastructure documented here beyond Stauber's own name. No matrix information, no pressing plant, no physical variant data, and no sleeve credits are attached to this listing, because none apply.

For a vinyl reference site, the practical use of this entry is limited but not without purpose. It establishes a release date, a tracklist, and a genre classification on record. Collectors researching whether a physical edition of Pop Food exists, or attempting to date the work before any hypothetical future pressing, can treat this listing as a baseline. Any information beyond what is stated above — personnel, recording details, or pressing history — is not documented here and should not be assumed.
