Marco Mengoni
Atlantico (Vinyl Edition Ⓒ2018)

Listening notes

Marco Mengoni's Atlantico arrived on vinyl in 2018 through Sony Music, issued under catalog number 19075911031. The release spreads fifteen tracks across four sides, a configuration that positions it as a double LP.

The tracklist moves through a range of titles that, taken together, reflect the genre tags the release carries: ballad, pop, pop rock, and Europop. Side A opens with "Voglio" and continues through "Hola (I Say)," "Buona Vita," and "Muhammad Ali." Side B follows with "Le Casa Azul," "Mille Lire," "Intro Della Ragione," and "La Ragione Del Mondo." Side C carries "Amalia," "Rivoluzione," "Everest," and "I Giorni Di Domani." Side D closes the record with the title track "Atlantico," followed by "Hola" and "Dialogo Tra Due Pazzi."

A point worth noting for collectors is the presence of both "Hola (I Say)" on Side A and "Hola" on Side D. Whether these represent distinct versions or alternate presentations of the same material is something a prospective buyer would want to verify before purchase, as the tracklist as cataloged does not clarify this distinction.

Track durations are not listed for any of the fifteen tracks in the available catalog data, which limits how much can be said about the overall runtime or the relative weight of individual sides.

The four-side format is a straightforward structural fact about how this edition was issued, and it distinguishes the vinyl pressing from a single-disc configuration. Beyond that, the catalog entry as it stands does not support conclusions about personnel, recording circumstances, or the characteristics of this specific pressing.
