Tyler Childers
OurVinyl Sessions

Listening notes

Tyler Childers' OurVinyl Sessions, released in 2017 under the OurVinyl Sessions label, captures the Kentucky-born artist at a notable moment in his early career. The release exists as a digital file format rather than a physical pressing, and carries no catalog number.

The session comprises three tracks: "Nose On The Grindstone," "White House Road," and "Follow You To Virgie." The material falls within the country, folk, and broader folk and world music categories, a grouping consistent with the Appalachian-rooted songwriting Childers had been developing as an artist.

OurVinyl Sessions, as a platform, has historically documented emerging and established artists through intimate recorded performances made available in digital formats, though any specifics of how this particular session was produced or distributed should be confirmed by a fact checker before publication.

For collectors and listeners approaching this release, it is worth noting the absence of a catalog number and its file-only status, which distinguishes it from Childers' studio and physical releases of the same period. The three songs represented here — particularly "White House Road" and "Follow You To Virgie" — also appear elsewhere in his discography, so researchers cross-referencing those titles should take care to distinguish between versions and releases when documenting their histories.

Given its format and the absence of standard catalog documentation, the OurVinyl Sessions release occupies a specific and somewhat narrow space in the broader Tyler Childers discography. Fact checker should verify platform details, session circumstances, and any associated release dates or distribution information before this entry is finalized.
